Dr. Tim Jansa, BCC, ICF-ACC
Dr. Tim Jansa is a consultant, ICF and Board-certified coach, facilitator, mentor, leader, and Wiley Everything DiSC® Certified Practitioner with over two decades of experience working in higher education and the nonprofit sector, as well as helping multinational corporations tackle intercultural communication challenges. In addition to spending 14 years within the University System of Georgia and private liberal arts institutions, he has built internationally recognized expertise through his research and thought leadership on higher education leadership, organizational development, communication, and culture.
He has authored multiple articles and papers on academic and non-academic leadership in higher education, including Agile: Higher Education Administration’s Best Hope? (2024), Socially Responsive Leadership for Post-Pandemic International Higher Education (2021), and At the Crossroads: Learning to Speak the (Foreign) Language of Higher Education Leadership (2019).

- coached new department chairs and associate deans in their transition from faculty to administrative leadership roles; focused on co-creating and articulating client’s leadership philosophy and strategy, including team-building, employee engagement and motivation, setting priorities, managing schedules, and understanding specific needs of both staff and faculty; greatly enhanced leaders’ positive impact and effectiveness as recognized by dean’s office
- assisted non-academic leaders (center directors/assistant directors) with managing complex workloads, team engagement, onboarding new staff, and succession planning
- supported grant applications/renewals by coaching leaders through mission/value articulation and program adaptations; center’s funding was renewed for a second and third consecutive four-year cycle while greatly enhancing team cohesion and performance over 8+ years
