Lisa Scott, Consultant
With over 25 years’ experience in helping people develop excellent speech and language skills, Lisa Scottthrives on solving the problems that keep people from communicating clearly. She combines her degree in speech pathology with best practices in linguistics, theater, and psychology to create customized training to meet a variety of communication needs. She specializes in working with international companies in the STEM fields, helping their experts to communicate clearly with decision makers. She works with them to convert technical language into layman’s terms and deliver engaging presentations, and she helps internationals improve their accent, pronunciation, and the nuances of language.
She is on the Board of Knoxville Internationals Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping immigrants and refugees become active, contributing members of the community. She volunteers with KIN teaching accent reduction classes to highly skilled refugees and helping them find employment in their field.
