Ken Ishimaru, Consultant
Born and raised deeply immersed in two cultures, Ken Ishimaru spent his life growing up and working in both the United States and Japan. Following successful careers in the private sector — ranging from serving as a US expatriate in Japan in the international banking industry with Citibank, and as a Japanese national employee in the computer chip industry with Mitsubishi Silicon Corporation; to distinguished careers in the public sector — serving the US federal government as a civilian criminal investigator / special agent with the US Air Force, and as a distinguished Mansfield Fellow (MFP13) for the US Department of State, etc. Ken has experience in multiple seat-of-government positions in Washington DC, as well as being a fellow with assignments within the Japanese government: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the offices of two House of Councilors’ elected officials. Over the past 30 years, Ken’s unique and extensive public and private background, multi-cultural perspective, and outstanding education have become the foundation of his professional success.
